READING AT HOME.....Commentary
I'm off to work in a moment..... ...hope some of you are here for this!!
Re: READING AT HOME.....Commentary
I wasn't, but I did listen to the commentary and it sounded like a much im proved performance. Pity we couldn't hang onto our lead though. I am not going to get too excited about the improved performance because we have been here before this season...

Re: READING AT HOME.....Commentary
yes i know i keep bangin on about points being what is needed but there are a lot of positives from todays game. forget about being in the bottom 3 for now.
i just hope for once we carry the good performance into the next few games because we have 3 games which we need to win and must win coming up after man utd.

Re: READING AT HOME.....Commentary
I was so p**d of on the day that I couldn't even get to hear the commentary. Had to watch John Salako give his updates on Sky every now and then. Looks sorted again so touch wood will be okay on Saturday. 20,000 at game which has to be a plus as well as the improved performance. I would still like to see Perry in the middle of a trio of centre backs. How did Gobern shape up because he may have to play more often soon?
Re: READING AT HOME.....Commentary
Gobern did quite well and got better as the game went on, but I felt that he often looked a bit lost. He is certainly better in centre midfield and is learning to take the ball forward more rather than give dodgy passes back to the defence as he was doing a lot against Bristol C and Wolves I think it was. He made some good passes and tackles but is a bit clumsy at times. The general view on saintsweb is that he did very well.
Definitely got enough potential and the right attributes and I think by the end of the season he will have become a very useful player. I was impressed in pre-season as well.

Re: READING AT HOME.....Commentary
No matter what the score is , if we have another cracker on Saturday it must be good for the club. The players will have a confidence boost and the club will have the tills ringing. Two good games played one after the other would give the supporters a boost as well.
It just might be possible to garner some much needed points in our next three championship games. All of which are 6 pointers. 9 points is a must if we are not going to be left behind.

We have to be positive at least for now. Defeat in the next few will really hurt.
