There is a page called 'INJURIES' on Saints website but it is not kept up to date. Still has Euell down as injured and doesnt mention Svensson.

My kids will be with me tomorrow so if there are plenty of goals atleast it will keep them entertained.....really hoping for a good performance from the Saints, we need it.
Hope its a good game for you, I have a feeling Saints may surprise us.
Anyone else going??
Re: saturdAY V WOLVES
hahaha good post mate fair play. yeah got the programme of that famous match against moscow dynamo.Charlie Wayman wrote:You know how it is, you really look forward to the visit of certain teams whilst many others leave you stone cold! Wolves is one of the teams I love to watch. Why? For me there's something about them which has lodged in my heart, maybe those lovely Old Gold shirts from Subbuteo days when my Old Gold Wolves could conquer my table top world (this was before Red & White stripes were available and the figures were all pressed out of cardboard), maybe it was Billy Wright, maybe it was when in the 50's, Wolves played Moscow Dynamo and the match captivated the nation? Whatever, I have always had a soft spot for them. I'll hide behind the sofa for this one.

Even today there is no news of Killer. Has he got a role left to play for us?

An excellent second half from Saints but, bad finishing, luck (and, seemingly, the ref) were against us so yet another loss at St Mary's.

Re: saturdAY V WOLVES
game with a bit of everything: goals, red cards, controversy, atmosphere, crap ref, fans trying to beat each other up
first half wolves were superb going forward i would say without doubt they were the best team i have seen at st.mary's since we went down. in fact even in the days of arsenal/man u etc coming to SMS i have never seen a team just run through our defence like that. WW is certainly not exaggerating with 4-0 being possible, in fact if the finishing was better then would have been 4
second half saints were great and wolves were average but we couldnt get the goal we needed. i think euell getting sent off really spurred us on. bwp hit the post and mcgoldrick should have had a penalty from where i was there was no doubt about it.
we are so close to being so good but we are just missing something. an experienced striker would help so much, mcgoldrick has been playing well recently but with someone like john or rasiak when the ball lands in the box they are always there and they can get goals out of nothing. again 4-4-2 is essential at home. perry needs to replace lancashire
Davis 6
Cork 6
Pearce 6
Lancashire 5
Skacel 7
Gobern 2 Feel sorry for the lad but he was simply way out of his depth. Jan should have learnt that youngsters need several sub appearances before they start playing from the start
Surman 6
Schneiderlin 7
Euell 7
Lallana 8
McGoldrick 7
Subs:
Perry 7
BWP 7
Robertson 5
Also does anyone know why Mick McCarthy was on crutches?

What was that all about? I heard the commentators saying that trouble had broken out in the Saints half of the Northam - was it the chavish element kicking off, or more than that?

Re: saturdAY V WOLVES
basically some fans were trying to climb over the netting between the two sets of fans and loads of stewards legged it up there and made a wall and pushed the fans back.

I feel that the added pressure of playing in front of a leaky defence is hurting our front line. First and foremost we need to stop letting teams have easy goals. We have got to get a defender or two who know how to stop strikers getting passed without worrying about pretty football. Apair of stoppers and we could start delivering the points we need. There just has to be someone capable of spotting a likely lad somewhere that could do a job for us. Even if we only had them for a season or two till sold on. We still have a scouting system so where are the people who pick the prospects and what are they doing?

Re: saturdAY V WOLVES
pearce is really good in the air, but he doesnt have much skill on the ball and makes some dodgy passes in defence. wolves gameplan in the first half was to close us down in defence really quick and it worked so well they were impenetrable without putting 9 men behind the ball like lots of teams do. i think olly is a great prospect, he does remind me a bit of rio ferdinand but i would like to see pearce and perry at the back with pearce attacking the ball and perry sweeping up. i think we will have to play olly and perry at reading but reading aren't a long ball team so i think that will be a decent pairing.
it seemed today though that our best form of defence was attack. with stern today we would have got a draw. against bristol city we would have won. i dont know how he does it but when the ball drops down in the box it always seems to be him who is there and him not being garunteed first team football is a joke.

Pearce impresses me at set pieces, that's 2 out of the last 3 games.
