CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES ON SKY: Forum Competition
There are a lot of matches on sky concerning championship teams and thought we could have some fun predicting the games.Much the same as our other prediction game. Could also pick the good and bad bits that we see in each game.
birmingham v Coventry is a good example. Birmingham were lucky not to have a player booked or even sent off for a blatant rugby tackle in the penalty area. Yet the referee didn't even give the penalty and waved play on.
Coventry were the better team and fully deserved the goal when it finally came in the second half. They also missed a couple of easy chances and were really hanging on at the end. Westwood kept them in front withsome heroics in goal. One possibly fortunate escape but deserved his man of the match award. Next game is SAINTS at home to Bristol City.
Comments from anyone interested in the championship welcome.

Re: CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES ON SKY: Forum Competition
How are we going to fare against Bristol City? What have they to offer in the way of a threat to our boys? Will we suffer the Sky curse or can we put that to bed once and for all?
Re: CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES ON SKY: Forum Competition
I am not happy. In fact I'm not even close to being happy. We were back to normal today and how on earth are we going to fare against Wolves. If they watched todays match they must be rubbing their hands with glee. How can we play so badly against a team that started without confidence. Good thing I guess is that we only lost by one.

Me neither. We are probably going to get a hammering. I am not being negative, just realistic.

Good thing is I have a cure which is guaranteed to cheer me up. Victory against Wolves.

Doncaster are playing at home tomorrow and I have a feeling that they could get a point at home to Ipswich. Ipswich don't normally do to well away but Donny are in worse shape than we are.
Doncaster 1 - 1 Ipswich
Doncaster 1 - 1 Ipswich

Nobody got it right.
How about a new game related to this thread. Guess the result win, lose or draw but with a score.
3 points for a correct result plus 3 points for a correct score up to 5 goals and 5 points over 5 goals. Or a point per goal added to result points if both are correct.

Re: CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES ON SKY: Forum Competition
Final decision is admins but basically it's 3 points for correct result plus bonus if correct score as well.
Re: CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES ON SKY: Forum Competition
Let's try it for a week or two and see how many join in. What is the first match?
