Bottom 3 for Saints this weekend unless they win this one.

Plenty of rumours..... once again..... that a poor result will see Hughes go. But think we've heard that a few times now.

Sorry Mike & Pete was away for the weekend.

Same old, same old. Hughes never learns same formation, same tactics, same errors cannot hold onto a lead, Hoedt always picked as is Redmond, start Austin and Cedrici at fault for probably two of the goals then say tactically naïve. At least Armstrong got into positions to score, so drop Redmond and Austin, stick with Gabbadini and Ings and allow them to try and form a partnership with Romeau brought back in to play in front of back 4, Lemina and Hojberg in the middle with Armstrong behind front 2. Drop Hoedt and Cedric play Stephens or Vestergard and Bedanek at RB. That team will win games

How he is still there is a bit of a joke when you look at his record over last 2 years. I can only guess reason he hasn't been sacked is they want the DOF in place first but the board have always been slow to react. They may as well leave him in charge for next couple of days but likely replacements do not inspire. Probably Allardyce but only until the end of season while they work out who they want, and not just someone who is out of a job but someone we are willing to allow to develop their own team.

I'm thinking that Saints don't have funds to spend so the next manager who need to be someone willing to work on the players we have and to develop younger players. It hurts that teams like Bournemouth with a much smaller fanbase do not appear to have our problems.......

The legacy of Reed and Kruger, making some very poor decisions that have wasted money, Carillo being the worst that should have had everyone sacked associated with the deal. Plus Reed appointed Hunter as head of all Academies and Jaidi in charge of U23s. Getting rid of Reed and Hunter at least stops the slide but will take several years to recover.

Think they have the option of getting Alladyce in to organise the current team to stay up and then appoint someone younger willing to both work with the youngsters and bring in his own players that do not cost a lot but can play to the style he wants
