Re: THE RUN IN.....
I think we might get 10 points so will be very tight between us Stoke and West Ham, 2 of those 3 to go down with WBA

Re: THE RUN IN.....
After studying the remaining fixtures I feel a little happier. As we know Saints have a difficult run-in, particularly with matches against Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal to come. But, with the exception of Crystal Palace, all teams in the bottom nine have 3 or more games against top teams to face.
West Brom 3.... Man United, Liverpool, Spurs
Stoke 3..... Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal
West Ham 4..... Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal
Palace 1...... Liverpool
Huddersfield 3...... Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal
Swansea 3..... Man City, Man United, Chelsea
Newcastle 3..... Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal
Brighton 4...... Man City, Man United, Spurs, Liverpool
Provided Hughes can ensure the team put in the fight and effort, I am now thinking we have a good chance of surviving. The 2 players that worry me most are Tadic and Boufal as they never seem really bothered. I think I would prefer to see Sims more involved.

Re: THE RUN IN.....
Agree Mike that Boufal and Tadic should not be starting these last few games, we need 100% commitment and Simms has shown enough tp be given his chance. I think key will be Austin's fitness, can he come back fit and sharp plus can Gabbadini rediscover his initial and cup final form. If so then we are in with a chance.
It is also possible that Huddersfield could slip into the battle and still think less than 40 points can still be enough this year to stay up

Re: THE RUN IN.....
Brighton have a points advantage at the moment, but their run-in is pretty horrific, I think they could be in the fight too. Their game with Huddersfield will be a scrap but apart from that I can't see them winning any more and they could well finish on 38 or less.
Re: THE RUN IN.....
Saturday could be an extremely big day.....if Saints fail to beat Chelsea and Huddersfield win against Watford, the points gap could become almost impossible.
Re: THE RUN IN.....
well we are now 5 points behind safety and looking like we have no defence when panic sets in
Re: THE RUN IN.....
No score yet in tonight's game between Brighton and Spurs. Come on you Spurs!!
Unlikely I know, but if Saints can win 3 of their last 5 games there is still a chance we could condemn Brighton...... but it really needs Brighton to lose tonight and Saints to win at Leicester on Thursday......and even then it would only really be a glimmer of hope

Re: THE RUN IN.....
Palace drawing at Watford doesn't help. Looks as if only Swansea can be caught now. Especially as it would be a major miracle if we could win our next three. Including Swansea away.
Re: THE RUN IN.....
Yeah we keep thinking its possible to stay up but would mean winning at least 3 of our last 4 games including the Swansea game and bearing in mind we have won 1 in something like 19 league games then that really is clutching at straws.
You would hope plans were in full flow now for us starting in the Championship in August, working out who to keep and who to exit at first opportunity. Unfortunately can only think Reed will only be thinking about his own skin

Re: THE RUN IN.....
Sadly we are nigh on certain to go down. Swansea being our best hope and somehow I just do not see us beating them to gain safety.
