AWAY TO BOURNEMOUTH
After 2 more respectable performances, can Saints get 3 points? If Bournemouth win it, they will leapfrog Saints in the table and we'll be looking down again.
What advice are you giving Grino about team selection, Matty?

Re: AWAY TO BOURNEMOUTH
My advice to him for this game is NO REDMOND!
Really bad news that no Cedric, that will have a big impact as he has got forward brilliantly lately and has been one of our most consistent players, nothing fancy just up and down the wing, keeps his attacker out wide by not diving in and never complains. I am not keen on Pied, when I have seen him play he rarely gets forward and his crosses are pretty poor often hit from 20 yards out , never goes to the byline so easy to defend. Worryingly that may encourage Pellegrino to play Redmond.
I would start Ward Prowse for Redmond from City team, Boufal to start in place of Hojberg to rest him, Austin to start. He might play Yoshida at RB but never good playing someone out of position so think it has to be Pied.

Re: AWAY TO BOURNEMOUTH
Well a point seems a fair result, we were poor first half on top second and Austin could have won it with a header near the end. Looked a penalty to me with Boufal's tackle, he got stick from Gary Neville on the box for being to inconsistent. Hoedt at fault with the goal but where was our right back?? Meandering back from the halfway line, need to see if Puel wants Pied at Leicester as we must have youngsters as good as him. Couple of decent saves by Forster though if one hit him as he was falling over! Still they all count stats showed a fairly even game in terms of possession, shots, corners so looks like a fair result
,
Still think he cannot work out his best team and while Davis has been a great asset I would prefer we started Romeau, Lemina and Hojberg/Ward Prowse. I would seriously think about dropping Boufal, try Gabbadini alongside Austin and have a midfield of 4 using the full backs, guess not very trendy but think it might be effective

Re: AWAY TO BOURNEMOUTH
Not the best of results or matches....but one point better than nothing.
I thought there were one or two selections I'd didn't really agree with. Why was Davis preferred to Lemina in defensive midfield, is Lemina still fighting his injury?? Boufal is not great but at least he tries, but Tadic just doesnt seem bothered to me.
Arsenal next and I've a funny feeling that we aren't going to lose this one.... hope I'm right. On the BT channel so this will be the third consecutive Sunday that the Saints game has been televised.

Re: AWAY TO BOURNEMOUTH
The Arsenal kick off is a pain as away at a family wedding on the Saturday so cannot get back in time !
I suspect Lemina still has some injury issues otherwise sure he would start. I would be happy to play Boufal as a no 10 instead of Tadic as wasted out wide really. If he just played without Tadic and Redmond he would have scope to have more flexibility.
Just hope Cedric is okay as if he plays we don't need Redmond at all
