HOME TO ARSENAL
Is it worth our players turning up for this one? Based on recent form, we have already lost??
Re: HOME TO ARSENAL
Well I am expecting a decent performance but depends on Arsenal and if they are on fire or get complacent. I think we might battle for a draw

Re: HOME TO ARSENAL
A truly great result. And somewhat (totally) unexpected.

Re: HOME TO ARSENAL
Sorry guys, I stayed up to midnight doing my match report and again it seems I failed to save correctly, lesson is to copy first and also not do late at night as clearly not thinking properly
Steck 7 handling was good and he seemed to give the back 4 confidence
Bertrand 6 still not looking as good as he did beginning of the season, thanks Woy never been the same since he joined your crooked lot at England camp
Fonte 7 much more like it, lead the line well though still had some mis hit passes great run for his goal.
Virgil 7 again much better several key blocks and clearances and unlucky with the "goal"
Martina 7 have to give a 7 because of his goal but not a great RB, had to be told where to position a lot by Fonte still best goal he will ever score.
JWP 7 excellent game played wide right and protected Martina and got through a lot of work, with composure should have scored
Wanyama guess he wants to play for Arsenal as best performance in weeks, never gave up and back to why clubs are interested in him
Davis 7 no stop effort and again back to form of early season, should have scored when mis kicked in front of goal
Classie 7 another decent performance, hopefully had cramp when he went off but broke up a lot of plays
Mane 7 set up 2 of the goals and once Arsenal had to score he combined well with Long
Long 8 after being offside 3 times in first 5 minutes did wonder but grew into game, 2nd half when he stopped trying to battle he proved to be a real handful, 2 goals, hit the post, should have scored when through 1 on 1. one of his best games for saints.
subs
Romeau 7 on for Classie and fitted in seamlessly
Tadic 6 on for JWP, as should be for next few games, set up 4th goal
Juanami 6 on for Mane, did okay though thought he might have brought on Yoshida to shore up defence who had worked hard
Really good all round team performance midfield at last chased and closed down. JWP had a good game, and although not natural wide player seems to make us play well there but offering good cover for the full back. Martina is a bit of a liability at RB but cannot deny he probably kicked started us last night with his goal. midfield was compact so denied Arsenal space, Walcott was not much of a threat, Giroud more interested in falling over and complaining, Chamberlain came on late but basically used as a right winger , will end up like Walcott as a bit part player and when Sanchez comes back suspect Theo wont start. Three ex saints in the arsenal team and while very comfortable as far as money do not see their careers going in the right direction, none will leave this year as a chance of a medal but think next year if they buy their prospects are not good.
Now looking forward to West ham game, just as well we won or would have been just 4 points of the relegation battle, shows how tight will be this season.
