Well got the point I suggested and the way we finished the end of the match was encouraging coming after a Thursday night away Europa game. defensively not good and think more down to the lack of DM cover, we really have not replaced Schneiderlin, and Wanyama cannot be expected to cover all the time. No one in back four played particularly well but Soares booking didn't help and Bertrand will come in for Targett who will improve. Plus of course different line up to Thursday night so chopping and changing will not help the defence. Would prefer JRod kept on bench and about where he played. Pelle has started like last season 3 goals now in 3 games, hope it continues. Mane is always a threat, if he ever becomes a good finisher he will be a £50m player!

Hopefully we will sign that DM player, I wonder if VVD from Celtic could play that position as he likes to get forward a lot. Think 2 defensive minded players are what we need to complete the squad.

Think Irwin did a decent job as stand in, Ronald's replacement when he leaves after 3 years to manage Barcelona.

Actually when you look at the conditions for 3rd and 4th test and recognise Aussies rarely get those conditions all England had to do was exploit the conditions. surprise was the bowling until all delivered which made up for some suspect batting in places.
