Celtic are holding out for £10m which think someone will go in for before the end of the transfer window, suspect we may look to do a deal if Toby indicates not going to sign but still think we will wait to summer and see if still at Celtic

still seem to be plenty of rumours about us still being interested in signing him, just wish we would get it done quickly. Think lots of other clubs have signed some decent players and our defence needs to be strengthened.

I'm sure Celtic will be doing all they can to keep him, at least until they are out of the Champions League.

Can understand why Celtic would want to keep for CL games against Malmo but don't think we can afford to wait another 2 weeks before we sign him. Still allows someone else to come in and bid more and we are not renowned for getting into a bidding war

According to the Mirror we are "set to bid" £11.5m, but I'm not hopeful that Van Dijk will want to come to a club which not only has no future in Europe this season but has such poor PL form currently.

I see what you mean.......plus I read somewhere that Man united had also come in for him. Don't know how true that is

Sounded like Koeman was getting frustrated still no deal. As we were interested in january it seems a ridiculous amount of time leaving us virtually all our eggs in one basket, Alderweld was the same where we took forever to get the deal done and then lost out. More worried Utd will come back for Mane after their performance yesterday
