WHO SHOULD BE TEAM CAPTAIN?

No Lallana, so Saints need a new team captain. On Twitter there are many calls for the job to go to Schneiderlin (mainly as a carrot to persuade him to stay I think) or to Fonte. Also, some suggest Lovren (again maybe as an inducement for him to stay at St Marys?)

To my mind the obvious choice has not been mentioned......Steven Davis was captain at Glasgow Rangers and is Northern Ireland's captain. He obviously has the right experience and I believe his character would rouse the team to put in extra effort when required. The only drawback I can see would be if Koeman's line-up of choice does not include Davis. Who would you give the job to?

understand why Schneiderlin or Lovren but if they then go would look pretty stupid, Davis a good call and would seem logical choice, if not I would give to Cork, could be the player who will now blossom under Koeman, just don't understand why Reed hasn't sorted out his contract as runs out next year, madness that his, Davis and Boruc not been given extensions yet

Cork would be a good choice.
