LES REED SPEAKS OUT.....

at last some one from the club hitting back at the rumours, which no doubt many are started through sources at the clubs looking to buy to unsettle players. Simple to show mean business by ignoring any bids.

All the talk from the club that they would be holding on to their important players, but just a day after the season closes and already rumours are very very very strong that Shaw and Lallana are about to sign for Man United and Liverpool respectively. If true, I can't see that the club have made a great deal of effort to keep them.

£25m or more for Shaw is one thing......but £20m for Lallana means Saints would only receive £15m after Bournemouth take their 25% cut, and surely we should be fighting this tooth and nail.

Feeling very nervous at the moment.

Test of the club and the board. No need to be rushed into any deals just because the other clubs want to sort before the wc. We hold the players under contract so take the time and if we do have to sell to balance the books start a bidding war, for me think we can get £35m for Shaw and we should simply say need 30 for Lallana due to sell on clause and Liverpool will run a mile.

Annoyingly if Cortese had not wasted £27m on Osvaldo and Ramirez and £15m over budget on Training Ground we would not be in debt and would be easy to say no to any bids

Mostly a PR message from Reed, so we had a shortlist of 4, Koeman, Magrath, Bruce (?) one other. reckon could be the "one other" at this rate, think would have got the work man to have a break for 20 minutes to do the interview in quiet. Love "the paperwork takes the time" didn't seem to take long for spurs after they made formal approach for MP.
