MONEY TALK.....

Re: MONEY TALK.....
Aamazing how different papers have taken some words and then produced a sensational headline, worst one has to BBC Solent who came up with "New board says financial situation difficult", that leads to having to sell everyone, not quite what was said and some more positive issues
revenue up by 213%
Wages to income ratio down from 102% to 65%
Loss reduced from 11.9m to 6.6m
TV revenue up from 5.6m to 46.9m
Wages at 47m still one of the lowest in premiership
The not so good news was the 27m transfer fees outstanding but Osvaldo and Ramirez if sold virtually cover that. Plus the commercial revenues did not show a massive increase from 4.8m to 6.7m which with the Premiership seems small, ties in with view that Cortese did upset some of the corporate sponsors.
All in all with KL at the helm think we are in good hands, might not be aspiring for Champions League but top 10 Premiership and exciting football beating the top sides will do for me.

Re: MONEY TALK.....
Hopefully things are not too serious but the recent info does seem to make all the talk a few months ago about Saints being one of the league's wealthiest clubs seem a little silly.
Re: MONEY TALK.....
I don't think its a problem Mike, we are financially solid, technically as Liebherrs as a family are incredibly wealthy, just behind you ,does not translate to the club being wealthy which is the wrong conclusion people were making

Re: MONEY TALK.....
Well Everton spent a lot less than us and are challenging for 4th spot, Spurs spent a fortune and have done not much better than us. Squad needs to be improved but off load Ramirez and Osvaldo then spend £40m will mean club is secure and can improve the squad. Marshall would not cost that much from Cardiff couple of cheaper younger players looking to prove themselves, couple of Academy players a year on (Gallagher, Targett Harrison Reed) would still leave about £30m in my books for 2 -3 decent signings, just need to avoid Italian league and South Americans
