SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Can Saints put the disappointment of last weekend behind them to make it 3 away league wins on the bounce?
Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Not sure, am hoping that a bit of a siege mentality might set in with criticism from cup game selection, clattenberg being appointed but knowing our luck will be some dodgy decision by crookenberg and we lose by odd goal, what odds a red card for us??

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
I think Clattenberg may want to show what a 'fair and decent bloke' he is.....so I don't think he will send one of our players off, unless there is no alternative.
I'm afraid I can't see us winning this (fingers crossed that I am wrong). A draw? Maybe.

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Wish I shared your view on Clattenberg Mike, afraid he is an arrogant and from his previous private life a bit of a nasty character who will think after the last incident that he is untouchable. By itself probably something we could deal with but afraid Fat Sam is another who will do anything to win and will get his thug Nolan to target our players in first 15 minutes as will be able to get away with it.
I would gladly take a draw, not going as they wanted £45 which for their hovel is a rip off, have bot ticket for the Palace game, still a hovel but not at £32 is not so bad.

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Well, we had enough chances to get a result and really should have put more of them away.
It was good to see Ramirez playing well......hopefully he is trying to secure a place in the team and not just trying to attract buyers for the summer.
Nice that Maya scored but he let the defence down more than once and I hope it won't be long before Lovren comes back.
Think it was the first time Kat went to an away match. Good to see that she is getting involved.....although I did think she looked rather bored.

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Well 25 chances being created shows not an awful ,lot wrong and arguably if Osvaldo had not turned out to be a complete prat we could really have pushed on. I said at start of season attack would be a problem and very much the case now with just Lambert, Rodrigues and a 19 year old in Gallagher. Does mean Lallana and Ramerez will be crucial in last few games,
Agree Mike that we do need Lovren back he is the key to the defence and hoping he might be back for Liverpool game

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Not counting, but think there have been quite a few games recently when we scored first and went on to lose.

Mostly when Lovren has not been playing

Re: SAINTS AT WEST HAM
Anyone that have gone and watched the games against west Ham over last 3 seasons, I have seen 4 of the 6 games will testify only 1 team had an intent to play football and they were not from London.
Alladyce has shown in recent years that he is sadly lacking as a manager in terms of developing players its all about bringing in enough players that eventually a few click and they win enough points to stay up but like at Bolton it will finally come unstuck and if they continue to play the way they are then their new stadium will be half empty.
I think what they struggle with and are jealous of is the number of players we bring through the Academy, Alladyce will simply not play them and what sort of role model if Nolan, some report suggested a late England call up, what a joke. Mind you if old Twitchy had got the job might have happened. Think Ricky Tomlinsons role as Mike Bassett England manager was such an accurate portrayal of Fat Sam.
have to say one of the worse London grounds to visit, difficult to find knowledgeable home fans can have a sensible conversation with as they all think they are "real cockney geezers" quite laughable really and a walk from the tube station is a real eye opener!
