Re: What people are saying about.........SHAW
HITC SPORT: England (Under-21s) continued to press on after their goal, and most of their joy came down the left hand side with Southampton full-back Luke Shaw being the thorn in Finland’s side. Eventually, a piece of clever movement to get beyond his man saw Shaw bearing down on goal. The full-back saw his shot parried into the path of Saido Berahino, who struck the top corner from six yards to put England 2-0 up.

No where near enough, if we do sell will be the summer and with man city and Chelsea involved should be around £30m, stupid for a 19year old but at that price would sell but not less.

Re: What people are saying about.........SHAW
Heard an announcement due very shortly sold to Utd and bad news is £10 m for next 3 seasons, truly hope not as would mean our Board are completely spineless. Don't object to selling if player is adamant he wants to go, but make him submit a transfer request, then say no deals until after world cup (as value likely to increase if it goes down then we don't sell!) and then any deals on our terms or no deal as player is on a 4 year contract.
Really thinking if this turns out to be true that Kruger appointment is going to cost us, motivational speaker totally out of his depth in the dirty world of English football

I have a nasty feeling about the new Chairman and board because I feel that the big clubs will say 'jump' and he - and the board - will ask how high they have to jump. They might tell Man U, etc., to piss off and Shaw to get back in his box as he's on a contract although I get the feeling that isn't going to happen. I don't trust Ralph Krueger entirely although we need to see what he - and the board - do between now and the end of the transfer window. He may be a big name in ice hockey but probably knows less about football than my late Nan and I have a horrible feeling he's going to let Saints get buttf**ked by the big clubs, simply because he's out of his depth.
I'll be delighted to be wrong.

Re: What people are saying about.........SHAW
would be perfectly happy if shaw starts the season with us but he will move on at some stage, just these so called "top clubs" do not realise when you want the best players be prepared to pay, Shaw will be the left back in England for years and probably another Bale.
Liverpool and Manure are similar in that not willing to pay thinking they can unsettle players and then get them on the cheap. Stick to your guns saints, £30m min for Shaw up front not 15 down and rest over years in add ons and £25m for Lallana, again up front and not linked to add ons Don't mind then as sure Koeman will spend well so squad will be improved though just as happy if they stay

Well Luke really has now joined the England elite. Guess he will need to understand that
Dumb comment on twitter as saints player earns a few lines on sports page.
Dumb comment as "Man U/Chelsea" or England player earns headlines NOT on sports pages.
Really hate to say this but could Clattenburg have been right with his comments about Adam and England? Seems only the great SRL has not changed by playing for his country, he genuinely wants to for the pride and sees as a privilege, wish we had kept him just to show the youngsters coming through a good example of a true professional.
