Looks like have agreed the fee with Celtic but need to convince the player to sign and cant help feel this will get hijacked by another club like Arsenal. Plus if he is on hol until July to long for  me as stops us getting other deals done.

Reported that Victor has flown back from Kenya to discuss personal terms. Looks like might be some hope this gets done.

I find it hard to believe that he would get a better offer from Cardiff but who knows??

I read that Nainggolan has said....
"Honestly, Southampton gave me the biggest offer at the moment among the other clubs but I don't play football for money. My priority is looking for a brighter future for my career and Southampton is my last choice."

Annoying to think that we would be anyone's last choice but if what Nainggolan says is true it seems the terms Saints offered were good.  Surely we would have been offering Wanyama much ther same!!!

Would be surprised like you Mike if Cardiff were able to make a better offer as they will struggle to meet the fee, more like hanging out for a better offer from another club. Bearing mind Lee is supposedly on £16k a year you wonder what was on offer and not enough.

Think the Agent sees a chance here for a big pay day in which case lets get Nainggolen.

If he does sign for Cardiff he better make sure a release clause there for when they get relegated

Last choice? If something hasn't been lost in translation, then he can feck off, arrogant knob.

To be fair the 'last club I would join' quote seems to have been taken out of context.  Nainggolan was meaning the last choice of the 3 clubs expressing interest in him....and the other two are Inter and Roma.

One of the problems trying to sign players at clubs that already have European football is we probably may not be as attractive when clubs such as Roma or Inter are involved. Mind you if Wanyama signs for Cardiff think we will know it is simply down to money. Sadly think most footballers are fairly mercenary these days. Saw on one site a comment that agent was after a £2m fee for doing the Wanyama deal. If that was the case no way will Cortese agree and rightly so in my view.

Appreciate difficult as want to make some headline deals to show genuine about moving up to next level but to do that with foreign players will be very hard to convince them to sign without shedloads of money, that said have got Lovren so there will be players we can do deals with.

Mike

I doubt you will hear anything as well! Think highlights everything that is wrong with football today, I think Agents are the worst lot as just take money out of the system. Problem is if you don't pay them someone else will, think any fee an agent gets should come out of the agreed transfer fee between the clubs and anything else is for the player to pay.

see it has been stated its a £1m fee his Agent wants, how the hell does an Agent justify that fee, he hasn't found a club and any other fee should be what the player is willing to pay out of his salary.

You would like to think FIFA might do something but yet another corrupt football organisation

Interesting comment from a Celtic fan.....

"Wanyama was offered a new deal by Celtic and he knocked it back. If he performs consistently for a full season, then by all means, improve the offer. His attitude in the latter half of last season was disgraceful. He was getting brushed off the ball by guys half his size.
He can go. Like many others, he'll realise it was a mistake."

It doesn't seem to me that he is the answer to a club's prayers.....

I'm thinking maybe we should do everything we can to get this sorted before a big club comes in.

This is what I think we suspected all along wasn't overly keen coming to us and looking for more clubs to join the chase plus if Everton are likely to lose Fellani for £20m plus (Man U?) this would be a decent deal for them, 1 for 1 plus some more cash to spend. Though not sure if they will match his wage demands Everton have struggled to hold players when their contracts run out due to wage demands.

When the bookies close the book will know a deal is done. cutting the odds mean a couple of bets of a few hundred gone on and spooked them. Mind you if its a few bets from the saints players then might be some genuine concern!

Bored with this one but we do need a midfield player with both bite and energy.
