Not sure I can believe.... 'insisted he had never influenced the result of a game'

On the other hand he admits betting on penalties. They are pretty sure to affect results aren't they??

Heard Franny Benali on solent who said as capt at the time and knew the dressing room well he was not aware of what was allegedly going on.

Don't doubt some of the betting goes on, why bookmakers allow dumb bets such as first throw in etc, but suspect Claus's memory has faded with the drugs he has consumed and he has embellished his story to make it more sellable.

The words "Claus Lundekvam" and "footballer" should never be used in the same sentence.

Anyway, just how thick are some of these guys? 'Living in a bubble' as Lundekvam puts it is one thing, but this is stupidity. It is illegal now and was illegal then.

Interesting to see that many ex-saints are now saying they knew nothing about this. Would be nice to think they are all being honest but realistically I imagine their main concern is to protect themselves in any investigation.

Almost a year since the news of this broke and I don't remember hearing any more about it. Have I missed anything??

not a subject that think the footballing authorities like to give to much attention but sure it is out there. See Townsend has got a 4 month ban, 3 months suspended, for breaching the rules which means he bet on games he could have influenced.

As for Clause someone probably had a word in his ear and told him to think before he speaks again!
