Not impressed by his comments re Le Tiss and Lawrie. while I appreciate need to stop free loaders history is important to a football club and its fans. Le Tiss and Lawrie are legends and Le Tiss showed loyalty that few if any other players have done and I was there in 76 so in my view Lawrie should always have a special place in the club. younger fans may not appreciate his achievements but the real big Mac meant I watched great football and great footballers at the Dell.

NC may well earn himself a place in saints history but he wont do it by trashing two true legends for the club. Not really sure why he felt he owed the Sun an interview, something wrong with the Echo or even holding a Radio Solent forum. The local media may not be the best reporters in the industry but they serve many saints fans who for various reasons can't make the game.

I think the Echo are still persona non grata at Saints. At least that's what was said on Radio Solent the other day. I can understand the need to have people pay for tickets and keep freeloaders out but what I don't like is this dirty linen being washed in public because it's damaging for the club - the club which is bigger than any of Lawrie Mac, Matt Le Tissier or Nicola Cortese.
