DANCER NICOLE KIRKLAND

Nicole has kindly agreed to come on here.



Nicole Kirkland has been a professional contemporary dancer for many years and has just recently been swept into the world of hip hop dancing. She has been fortunate to train with choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Rosero McCoy, Ronnie Reddick, and Shane Sparks to name a few. Nicole has trained and performed with Sonya Tayeh’s and Chris Jacobsen’s The Dance Company, Kat and Jeka Kalotkins’ Independent Dance Co, Greg Chapkis’ VIP Vallejo, and Tawnya Kuzia’s Rugged. Nicole has performed for such events as Macy’s Passport After Party, The Roxy Theatre in LA, Maxt Out, Golden State Warriors, as well as many other events. She has done back up for several artists and has been featured in numerous music videos. She was also on the NBC TV series “Trauma.”



Nicole has taught with and assisted instructors from Beat Freaks, Jabbawockeez, Supreme Soul, and Kaba Modern to name a few. Nicole teaches regular classes throughout the bay area. She also teaches master classes throughout California and choreographs for several hip hop and contemporary companies as well as high school dance teams. She received a scholarship to Edge P.A.C. in LA, and was also a finalist for Monsters Dance Convention. While Nicole continues her training to grow as an entertainer, she looks forward to the many opportunities ahead.

Hi, thanks for doing this. Have you ever visited and performed in the UK?

Were the music videos you have appeared in hits? Who were the singers?

Hi, I envy you your gorgeous figure. Does it come easy for you to look like that or do you have to work at it and stick to a diet?

If you had not become a dancer, what occupation would you have liked to pursue?

I think I read that your career was interrupted because of an accident. Was it serious? Are you ok now?

You look gorgeous btw (love the glimpse of pink bra in one of your photos). Are you married?

During a performance have there been any times things have gone a bit wrong, any embarrasing moments you can tell us about?

I have sadly not had the opportunity to dance in the UK. I have been fortunate enough to travel within the US but I haven't had the opportunity yet. I would love to get to travel there though to perform or teach! That would be a dream come true. [:

The singers I performed with are really big in the bay area of California and the underground rap scene. I am working my way up to more mainstream artists.

Thank you so much! [: I don't really keep to a diet. My dancing keeps me in good enough shape. I actually should probably eat better :P

You are a lovely woman with an awesome body. What part of your body are you proudest of.........and are there any parts of it that you would change for any reason?

Well I really like active stuff. Sitting behind a desk doesn't really sound nice to me. Lol I would actually want to be a snowboarder!

Yes I was in a car accident. It was pretty bad.. my cars wheels slipped on black ice into a pole. I was inches away from dying. But thankfully I only came out of it with some bruises, cuts and glass in my hand. It was very scary but I'm okay now. [:

There have been so many moments that haven't gone right on stage. I have actually never fallen but I have forgotten my routines a couple of times. When I was little I even ran off stage because i forgot. Nowadays if I forget I just improv and the audience can't tell. But yea there are problems on stage all the time.. just gotta go with it and learn from mistakes.

Well first Thank you. [: um I like my eyes. And of course there are things I would definitely change (that I'm not going to say out loud Hehe) but I try to be content with how I look. I want people to like me for me and not only for what I look like.
