THE TONY BLACKBURN MYSTERY

A few days ago I asked Tony Blackburn on Twitter if he would come on here. Shortly afterwards I received the brief reply......"Yes".

Subsequent tweets from Mr Blackburn make amusing reading.....

"I think there has been a mistake and while I was out of the studio someone typed in the word yes as a joke. Sorry about this."

"I'm afraid I know nothing about football so wouldn't be much use to you. very sorry."

"I'm very sorry the mistake happened and I'm glad you understand it wasn't my intention to say yes."

"It's a bit tricky to do that as I don't use the internet to answer personal questions in this way. Many apologies."

"Good luck with your website, and not that I know anything about football ,but I hope your team does well."
