ROCHDALE ON TUESDAY

Re: ROCHDALE ON TUESDAY
Well one of our toughest games left and right now I would settle for a point. Key will be what team we put out. Will Lallana start or be on the bench, will Stevens make the squad, will Richardson be fit, will Harding and Dickson be fit. Does NA think Jaidi has another game in him, 4th game in 10 days?
We were not great yesterday but did have a resilience which was good to see and despite what must have been our weakest midfield this season this still came away with 3 pts.
A win would be fantastic as would put that little bit of light between Hudders and PBoro and critically keep the momentum going which is so important at this time of the season. Think we will need 5 wins from last 7 to finish 2nd, I said 8 from 10 so still on course.

Re: ROCHDALE ON TUESDAY
sounded as if we battered them second half but we didn't score and we were already 2-0 down. this was always going to be a difficult game so not so disappointed. however it does put the pressure on us to get maximum points in all the remaining games except for brighton.

Re: ROCHDALE ON TUESDAY
I'm not too happy in having Rochdale do the double over us tbh, but as Matty said it was always going to be a toughie. It's still in our hands, with six games left, barring any more slip ups (and it would be typical Saints to lose to Rochdale yet beat Brighton - I wouldn't bet against it).
Huddersfield are away at Charlton on Saturday, so with a win for us and defeat for them things will look rosier. Fingers crossed.
Congrats to Brighton btw, they're up, although I wish that had been us. They've done it the easy way, with no - or few - jangled nerves for their followers.

Re: ROCHDALE ON TUESDAY
See NA has sadi have to take lessons from last nights defeat. Here's one I hope he takes, ditch the diamond! Every game I have seen recently we have started with this diamond and looked awful, We have no width and our passing gets congested in the midfield. As soon we go 4 4 2 with 2 wide players the whole team look better, the full backs get forward which they don't under this diamond and we are able to pass the ball around whicchy opens up the opposition.
I simply dont understand why NA insists on sticking with this as had to change it in every game.
