I've just remembered that my nephews are ManUre fans. The little brats - and my sister - will rub it in if we get dicked. I also have a friend who's a plastic Manc and will not fail to rip it out of me should we get mullered. Let's hope the score remains respectable.

I think we will do okay, this is a different team to when we played the Mancs a couple of years ago which were mostly youngsters. Our team has a spirit about them now which means we wont stand back and admire them but get stuck in plus in Lambert/Barnard/Guly we have some players up front this time who can get goals, we played Paterson last time before he got sent off!

Biggest threat will be the officials, Berbatov's dive today was all Webb needed to make sure his team won and any premier league ref will want to keep fergie sweet.

On my sister's Facebook page one of her ManUre plastic friends has posted 'Remember 1976 United fans...pay back time'.

Jesus H, are they STILL bitter about that? Big club small fans.

I think it will be a good chance to show people what we can do. We may have only lost 3-0 last time but Man U barely broke into a sprint and we didn't come anywhere near scoring. Without being confident that we will win, I really think Lambert, Lallana, O-C and maybe others will cause a few problems for United. Lambert with his size and strength is going to be a handful and the raw pace of Chambo will cause problems for any defence. Barnard will do his best to wind up their defenders and hopefully win us a few free kicks in good positions for Rickie. I hope we go out and play an attacking game and give a good account of ourselves. I think we'd all prefer to lose 4-2 than 1-0?

I really couldn't give a toss about this game*, especially after yesterday. I think it's a distraction and could be a reason for yesterday's shower of shite against Tranmere.

*That said, I still don't want to be on the receiving end of a hammering. 2-1 to Moan U will do me.

I agree that the game could be a distraction now, hard for players as for some might be only chance to play against Man U. After Birmingham got thumped 5 nil and we lose to Tranmere you do start to worry, I just want to see a team 100% committed chasing down every ball and not giving them time on the ball. Wouldnt play Jaidi as to slow for me at least losing this game is not important and at least once out of cup can focus on the ;league which is crucial. Ought to play Bart as he has been in goal for last couple of rounds in cup

Football being what it is, though, it could be one of those funny games where the complete underdogs (us) pull off a shock. It's happened before, Leeds v Man U last year. The match is on ITV1 next Saturday so I hope the players give a good account of themselves. I don't want us being humiliated in front of the entire nation. The performance matters, the result doesn't. Last year was different, it was the Skates and I badly wanted us to beat them, this year it doesn't matter.

As for predictions, I'll say 1-2 to Man U.
