'Southampton winger Adam Lallana will be sidelined for six weeks after an operation on his injured knee.
The former England Under-21 missed most of pre-season with the same problem.
Saints caretaker Boss Dean Wilkins told BBC Radio Solent: "You can't underestimate the influence he has on the team, he'll be a big loss to us."
Lallana scored 20 goals last season as Southampton just missed the League One play-offs, despite suffering a ten point penalty.'
No Pardew, no Lallana, no Barnard.........things are looking real good!!
