It was certainly an odd selection.
And now we've conceded a dangerous free kick. Saved by KD

1-1. That was a shocking performance.

with respect to brentford, we should really be dominating teams like them, as it was they dominated us especially in the second half. not very good

Not trying to be negative, but only 4 points above relegation zone now!

It was embarrassing, to be honest. With the players Saints have we should be doing a lot better, especially against teams who were in League 2 last season. This might sound horribly arrogant but I am not intending to be arrogant, just stating the truth.
And, yes, just four points above the relegtion zone. It's all very well having good cup runs (I would have traded the win against Ipswich for three points this evening) but the league is what matters and, while I think the play-offs were always a bit of a tall order given the ten point deduction I was hoping for a top half finish but, unless we reverse the drop in form we're now experiencing (the very drop in League form that Alan Pardew said we couldn't afford to have, right before said drop in form occurred), we'll be lucky not to finish in the bottom half.
Mind you I guess much the same can be said for Leeds, they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford ( ), nick a draw at Spurs but then lose in the league to clubs that, like us, they think they should not be dropping points against. As the cliché goes, it's a 'funny old game, football'.

Re: MIND THE BEES DONT STING YOU!
I would dearly like AP to explain to us how he came up with his selections for tonights game. I am beginning to despair and the feel good factor is disintegrating as we speak. I have questioned some of his decisions for a while now and to be honest no matter how hard I try I can an answer find not.
Re: MIND THE BEES DONT STING YOU!
Nil desperandum, SFC Forever, nil desperandum. While tonight was indeed poor and pretty disappointing I am still fairly optimistic. However, if our dip in League form continues then, and only then, will I start to worry. AP said just after Christmas that we couldn't afford a blip and, famous last words, it's happened. Let's hope we end the poor league form against Stockport as, never mind the playoffs, we do not want or need to be dragged back into the relegation zone again.

That was painful to listen to - and Bee Happy was pessimistic in his OP. Pompey must be rubbing their hands
