CAN WE FINISH HIGHER THAN NORWICH AND CHARLTON? Empty CAN WE FINISH HIGHER THAN NORWICH AND CHARLTON?

I think it must feel better to be a Saints supporter than a Norwich fan this morning, after the Canaries were thumped 1-7 at home to Colchester. And Charlton did not have everything their own way in beating Wycombe 3-2.

Do you think we can finish above the two teams relegated with us despite our 10-point disadvantage?

We looked like we could hold our own against Millwall yesterday. With additions to the squad I believe we will end up mid table. Charlton will finish higher than that ut I can not see Norwich doing so well. Smile

I wouldn't write off Norwich quite yet. Especially if they bring in a new manager. I seem to remember last season Burnley lost the first game 3-0 (ok not as bad as Norwich!) and look where they ended up.

I can remember times when a team has been totally stuffed but then began to fight to keep clean sheets. Confidence will have been shaken but they have a midweek cup game to sort them selves out and get it out of their system. We have been there a few times ourselves.

It was 4-1, against Wednesday. Lost their second match 3-0, against Ipswich.

As you say, too early to write teams off.
Let's not forget, they won 1-0 at Palace pre-season.

Can we finish above Norwich and Charlton?
All things are possible at the moment. We have no idea just how good we are going to be, or how bad they are.

We can but whether we do is down to the number and quality of players brought in to bolster our squad.

And also down to AP keeping the players fit and keen to fight for the points.

Very true Bob. Seems we have been scouting in scotland for a player or two.
