THE £1000 GAMBLE Empty THE £1000 GAMBLE

Every member starts with an imaginery £1000. Before each Saints League or Cup Match you forecast the result (not the score) and say how much of your £1000 you want to gamble on it. Every correct forecast, win, draw or lose, pays at 2-1 so that if you gamble £100 and your forecast is correct you win an imaginery £200 and your £1000 will have grown to an imaginery £1200.
If you gamble £100 and your forecast is wrong, you lose the imaginery £100 and your £1000 will go down to an imaginery £900.
The member who has most money in the kitty at the end of the month wins........(no prize sorry!!)
Members who lose all their imaginery £1000 kitty are eliminated.

Having seen the price that we are with the bookies to win I am left wondering how they arrived at that result. Odds on to beat a team that nearly got into the CCC and have bought or acquired a few players. Surely they will be oneof the favourites to go up this season. Perhaps I should increase the size of my bet.
