Reserves beat Reading 3-1
The reserves beat top of the table Reading 3-1 today. Earlier in the season they had lost 3-0 at Staplewood.
Gasmi scored twice and Callum McNish got the other
Wayne Thomas and Lee Holmes both started in an otherwise very inexperienced team.

Thomas and Holmes could have saved our season if they had been ready earlier. Though Wotte was building Holmes up 3 weeks ago. Be interesting to see if Thomas gets a game on Saturday

Re: Reserves beat Reading 3-1
Wayne Thomas isn't a brilliant defender but I felt very confident going into the season with Killer, Perry, Davies and Thomas all as good centre-backs and then Lancashire and Racine as back up from the reserves. After a few weeks though, Perry was the only one left. If we got Saeijs in a few months earlier we may well have been clear of relegation now, we certainly don't throw away as many 1-0 leads when we've got a big centre-back in the box.

Re: Reserves beat Reading 3-1
Could get one game out of him before he goes back to France.
Thomas may not be a brilliant defender but he would have been better than those we have played. He would not have been pushed around as easily as our kids either. I would haved liked Racine to have had a chance when all was falling down defensively.
