AWAY TO CHELSEA

An interesting game as Chelsea have not been playing at their best recently....... although they had a good win at Tottenham last time out.      I've a feeling Ings may be rested so he's ok for Saturday..... Djenepo still out and Long doubtful.    If given a chance, it would be good if Che Adams could bang in a goal or 2 to gain some confidence.

A win would be wonderful but I can see us losing this, maybe 2-1.

Well another good performance, again away from home. He did rest Ings which think was sensible regardless of result and as we won a master stroke. Again playing 442 means we are more solid that gives a platform to get a result. Two good goals and Redmond on the score sheet! Hopefully can carry the performance and energy levels against Palace. See Sky gave Stephens motm, certainly think last few games has played better and beginning to act as the lead defender and taking charge, long may it continue. Good to see Armstrong gat a game and showed that played in midfield can be effective. Interesting that without the flair of Boufal and Djenepo we look more solid.

Amazon made JWP Man of Match. Not sure I agree with that but it was certainly a great team effort. Hope Gao is not now thinking he can avoid spending.

Apparently JWP ran over 12k in the match, only player to do that, and 9 tackles more than anyone else so certainly based on effort he did well.

Think Ralph has the same concerns we have about Gao not spending which is why in every interview now he is saying he has no cover in certain positions, think he is really keen to get the RB Maehle, particularly as Cedric will be gone in the summer so actually not a bad move. If he can get in a DM player as well then he will be happy as the other area we are short. Rumours are he is looking to sell in the summer so might be willing to sanction one signing to ensure he has a premiership club to sell if he wants to get most of his money back, other signings will probably be loan deals with option to buy, which he wont!

I agree priorities need to be RB and DM. Ideally I would also like to see a quality CB come in (we have plenty of bodies for that position but not convinced that any is top Premier League quality) and a good alternative for Bertrand at LB.
