Can Saints get a result Tuesday night?

I rather hope Tino took Guly off just after half-time against Yeovil because he recognised he was playing poorly.......and not because he wanted to save him for Tuesday.

A tough game and would expect Boruc Fonte, Davis and Lambert to start for Kelvin Hooviled, Ward Prowse and Guly. Those 4 on the bench with Chambers, Wanyama and Gallagher.

hopefully Wanyama close to fitness bit would not start him.

Cold evening games are the time for hamstrings etc so hope no more injuries.

Would gladly settle for a draw as Arsenal are more difficult to beat now, their defence have tightened up but still need to be "in their face" as cannot allow them to dictate the game

It seems Lambert has 'a hamstring problem' and may not play.

A great performance by our boys, just a pity we couldn't manage all 3 points.

It was good to see Kat beaming happily and clapping enthusiastically at the final whistle!

Sorry Mike

I did so a match report last night finished it about 1130 yet it looks like it   did not save Sad

Brief summary

Great team sprit, over the 99 minutes ( 3 first half 6 second half added on time)
No poor performance, midfield were brilliant, Gallagher looks a prospect.
Great performance if you think not playing Lambert, Osvaldo, Lovren and Wanyama
Clearly best team in 1st half, 2nd half was closer game as Arsenal played with more pace
Katarina seemed to enjoy the game, good atmosphere from saints fans.

Boruc 7 no chance with goals and could instinct save when 1 up
Shaw 7 great going forward but no where to be seen for 2nd Goal, looked to be struggling so maybe not fully fit
Yoshida 7 did a good job just can get caught when he is not sure what to do
Fonte 8 solid at the back, lead the line and got the goal
Chambers 7 another good display, hard to think he only made debut this season
Davis 8 Never stopped running
Cork 8 really on fire never tired, making a statement he wants to stay in team
Schneiderlin 8 looked class all night, bet Wenger comes in for him
Lallana 9 the creative link and a good run to be in the right place at right time for goal
Gallagher 7 really good debut against a top side, had a good shot bit more patience and could have scored
Rodrigues 8 lots of surging runs, set up 2nd goal but poor defending for the first Arsenal goal

Thanks again Matty.

Exciting to think that in a short time our boys could form the nucleus of the England team. We just need English central defenders and keeper.

Thanks Matty. Although I didn't see the match, this sounds like a great rebound (particularly in effort) from a poor week off the pitch.
