Think it be very close as Colchester will be hard to break down but as a normal saints fan being overly optimistiv think we will sneak a lucky win. (I hope)

It depends on which Saints turn up. The team who took Brizzle Rovers to the cleaners 4-0 on their own patch, or the lookalikes who've replaced the winning team of last season but can't play football. not sure

Connolly has been dropped altogether from the squad, according to Solent. Barnard is back in the starting team. Mr Untouchable Pulis is on the bench.

Half time 0-0. This skint non-attendee has been listening to the radio coverage and it sounds like a dour game with Saints being closed down and outnumbered in midfield and offering the sum total of bugger all in attack. Come on Nigel, give 'em a half time serve and kick their backsides. 7 playing hours without a goal is, frankly, sh!t.

Cherries 1-0 up at Oldham. Come on Oldham. This is getting distinctly boring.
