Is there anyway Saints can get something from this one or should they concede defeat now to save the club the travelling expenses??

That said, conceding defeat before kick off is never an option.

Well even as an optimist I can't see us getting anything out of this game especially with Jos at CH and possibly Fox at LB due to Shaws injury. Would go with Rickie up front, Ramerez in the hole and a defensive midfield, Schneiderlin, Cork, Davis and Puncheon. If we can hold them to half time, and that is a big IF, then crowd may get on their backs as will be slagging of Benitez.

I see Sky are showing an hour of highlights at 10:30pm.........now the big question is can I resist looking at the score until then so that I can watch without knowing how the film is going to end? It's so much better that way!

Well was amazed with his starting line up, though I did think rickie might not start but obvioulsy done to lull Chelsea into a false sense of security. Excellent point and now need to follow up with win against Everton. Hope Forren was suitably impressed with our away draw against the European champions!!!

We scored 2 great goals (not even an argument about a disputed penalty) and I thought Clyne and Shaw both did brilliantly in the build up to the goals.

Who would have thought on Christmas Day that we would be looking at being unbeaten in our next 5 league games, 4 of them away from home, and including games with Arsenal and Chelsea!!!!

Hope you noted for the second goal started with Chaplow winning the ball, then a simple 5 yard pass to Shaw before he went on his run, shades of Marsden and Bridge!
