No smoke, no fire, by Dave Jones
Just finished reading this autobiography. It really is a good read for all saints fans,he is full of nothing but praise for us saints fans. Tells about how he was treated by Rupert Lowe and how football in general rallied round him. There is also a view from his wife Anne. I believe its being serialized in the Echo for any one who is more interested in snippets.

What a tragedy for the guy I fleetingly wondered if he might have been recalled when we were manager-hunting, but probably neither side would have considered it.

Sista, he comes over really well in the book, the crimes he was accused of were disgusting and would have broken many a man. When you read what he, bear in mind he was totally innocent, had to endure with his family, it makes you despair at the injustice of it all. I just hope he succeeds at Cardiff, he deserves to. Apparently one of his children still lives in Southampton and i believe supports saints.

He should never have been let go in the way that he was. Though the money being paid up front to him may have helped him with his legal costs until they were cleared that is. I too wish him well for the future as I did then.
