AWAY AT PALACE

Typical of Saints' luck really. Palace are probably one of very few teams who have been playing as poorly as Saints. They change their manager and are likely to be all out to impress him.....and we have to be their first opponents!!

I had thought we could have a good chance of bouncing back and winning this, but now I can only see us losing again.....or just possibly a draw if we get very lucky.

We will have the new manager syndrome to face and Palace played quite well at Burnley. First goal will be vital as I think whoever gets will go on and win, neither team has any confidence to come back. Funny enough I think we will be better away from home when teams come onto us so was expecting at least a point but might be more difficult but will stick with 1-1

OK, it was pretty feeble opposition.....but still it was good to see a decent performance from Saints.....and they all seemed to put in a good shift (with the possible exception of Redmond).

Good to see that the 2 big summer signings were clearly the best 2 players out there. And when VVD was brought on towards the end, there seemed to be no problem.

Well 3 points is always welcome, Forster did okay, thankfully Hodgeson clearly never realised he is not mobile but shoot straight at him and will make saves. Away in Spain at the moment so won't be at Utd game
