Re: SAINTS PROTEST AGAINST CLATTENBURG
Heard about this on Solent on way back and that initial complaint rejected but club likely to appeal. For me absolute right to do this as I believe Clattenberg has an agenda against us. Think he sees us as a small club who he can give dodgy decisions against to gain favour with the bigger clubs. Have never seen him have a decent game and predicted before the Everton game he would look to make sure they won and the penalty decisions and failure to act on a 2 footed challenge which would be red if a saints player did just confirmed what I expect of him.

Re: SAINTS PROTEST AGAINST CLATTENBURG
What annoys me is how these stories become public. Club made a formal complaint, which is their right, to a professional body and somehow the press get the story. Not released by Saints so who in the so called professional body decided to make the story available to the press?
bit like the FA the Refs body are out dated and there simply to protect themselves. They are another group reluctant to accept the game has moved on, so has technology and no longer should everything revolve around the referee. Have to say the standard of linos this year is even more worrying as they are supposed to be refs in the making!
the only lino who has really impressed is the female one, sorry do not know her name but would rather have her and other women as refs as the likes of Dean, Webb, Clattenberg, Dowd, Mason are so far up themselves now it is unbelievable. I am hoping that FIFA actually do not choose an English ref for the World Cup as might wake a few of them up as no doubt all vying for a 3 week break in Rio this summer.
Think unfortunate this is centering around what was said to Lallana, main complaint should be an apparent bias against the club which reflects in his arrogant approach when treating saints players, his treatment of Wanyama at Arsenal this season was abysmal player was fouled constantly and nothing given yet any tackle he made was an immediate foul.
By the way Clattenberg has refereed us in 9 games over last few years, we have not won 1! guess can see why we might have a certain view about him

Re: SAINTS PROTEST AGAINST CLATTENBURG
Think the comments in response to the article says it all, there is something fundamentally wrong with the PGMOL. They are not independent and in their view their members can do no wrong, to many questionable decisions made by Clattenberg against us which ought to be properly investigated.
Also didn't expect Clattenberg to swear as after the Mikel incident where he was incredibly lucky to get off he knows what he says can be seen by cameras, in my view he is many things but do not see him as stupid

Re: SAINTS PROTEST AGAINST CLATTENBURG
Quite clever by Poch really suspect we are likely to get Clattenberg soon as they will stupidly want to make a point but he will be under pressure now as Poch is the nice guy. actually he tends not to get irate during the games and when you compare our players to the likes of Nolan we really are choir boys, one of the reasons why I get annoyed with likes of Clattenberg, happy to have a pop at quiet guy like Lallana but never says a word to Nolan

That's means we will lose and Fat Sam will have them clogging us right from kick off knowing we will get no protection.
