I think it is going to be a bit embarrassing for Tino if we don't win this one.

Will be a tough game, they all are but think we need to go back to what we are good at. Either Puncheon come back in for lallana who possibly does not yet have the fitness to play in the high pressing formation or he brings in Puncheon instead of Davis. Slight risk as will mean defence will be exposed but we have to get at the rangers defence.

They do have a decent squad with good players who for whatever reason have simply not delivered, which hopefully will continue.

We will have to be patient as even though nothing to lose cannot see twitchy playing any other way than sit deep and hit us on the break. This is the one game I really want 3 points for and although nervous about the game still think we can deliver and take the 3 points.

Well this could be a good week with Schneiderlin and now Puncheon signing contract extensions so lets finish with a home win against twitchy. Would definitely look to start Puncheon now contract issue resolved as would think he would be looking to seal his week with a goal.

Good timing by saints as will buoy the players and fans at a crucial time

Think this could be very tight, a draw or just one goal in it either way........or then again we might whip their butts. I'm gonna go for a win 5-0!!

I hate Redkunt, I hate football and right this minute I hate Saints. That was a shameful non-performance and puts us right back in the shit. Really pissed off and it's buggered up the weekend.

It would be that twitchy bastard's team. Evil or Very Mad

Well a poor performance by most players. Rangers frustrated us, slowed the game down from 1st minute, some awful tackles that Webb allowed them to get away with and alarming that no one stepped up to take the game by scruff of the neck. Can understand why a manager would pick Lallana and ramerez as no doubt the 2 most talented players but simply dont think we can afford to play both as the pair simply dont work hard enough. In any league you have to win the right to play the passing football and today we didnt battle.

Think was a mistake not playing Davis in midfield, the starting 11 against Man City has not started since that game yet the only real time we played the high pressing game, this was back to saints at beginning of season with slow build up from the back lots of cross field passing. Rarely got to the byline and hitting the ball into the box from out deep just palyed in the hands of QPR.

We started brightly and knocked the ball around and had a goal mouth scramble when looked like Puncheon was pulled as he went to shoot following a header back by lambert. Despite the pressure we created few chances a few long range shots but none on target then got hit with sucker goal in their first attack. Yoshida out of position, Fox to far forward so was not goal side of his attacker, simple basic defending which frustrated hell out of me as dont need to be a top defender to do the basics. Plus if you dont have the pace then Fox should not keep going forward. He had a chance to redeem himself as shot went back at him on line but just hacked and put in top of net, if he had remained calm he could have put over the bar.

We still didnt create many chances bit got a life line at end of half followng shot which swerved and goalie failed to hold and ramerez hooked into the goal. That should have been the set up for us but afraid not. Lallana went off after taking a knock, numerous lunge tackles which in my view were stud showing and should have been red but webb who is a mate of Redknap bottled completely.

Puncheon must have been out celebrating as he had a poor game rarely beat his player and didnt have a shot on goal. Rodrigeus tried but to many time we tried to play pretty football through what was a very congested middle and we simply had no pace. Fox went off injured again following a knock and Shaw was exposed for the second which was another long ball over the top, Shaw beaten but Yoshida came across and made the player but then studpidly dived in. Ball was blocked and qpr player was able to dig out free run along the byline and pull back to Boothroyd. yet agin individual errors costing goals.

Never really looked like getting back in it. Yoshida had a good header well saved by green who had come on for their goalie who wimped out after a collison with Rodrigues and a couple of shots, one saved another just wide. Only other sub aside from injuries was Ramerez off for ward prowse. which showed Pochs faith in youngetsr whereas I would have brought on davis for his experience and willingness to run and chase. For me this was always going to be an ugly game and afraid our set up was all wrong. Should have Davis Schneiderlin and Cork as midfield 3, other space can be the luxury player.

Boruc 6 no fault with goals
Cline 6 rarely got forward so hurt our attacking options
Fonte 7 looked a bit rusty but fairly solid and had a couple of shots on goal
Yoshida 5 as fault for second goal
Fox 5 at fault for first goal and is a liability now
Cork 6 tried hard
Schneiderlin again like cork tried but was a very physical game
Lallana 5 little threat before he went off
Ramerz 5 even though he scored lots of poor passes giving the ball away
Lamert 6 poor servcie didnt do much though
Rodrigues 6 tried
Pucncheon 5 think had been on the toot celebrating his contract.

Terrible, thought it was one of worst performances of the season. We seemed to have no answer to QPR's breakaways and they always looked the more likely side to score although we had much more possession. We didn't look to have any bite in the final third.

Hoping the reason for Puncheon's display was not that he feels he doesn't have to try now that he has a contract.

Fortunately, Wigan and Reading both lost so there is still a small gap above the bottom three but we badly need another couple of wins very soon.

I see that Forren wasn't even on the bench again today.....very strange.

Really do not understand the Forren issue as had a decnt reputation before he came here and a a Norwegian international cant be that bad surely. Also left footed so would think an option as LB unless he doesnt have any pace. Mayuka also wasnt on the bench, r and davis was on the bench, greta summer signings!

I dont blame Poch to much though think he should have started Davis but shows that fault lies with Cortese and reed who run the transfer committee who wasted a fortune on Ramerez and made othe poor buys, left the manager not a lot to play with.

It often seems that players who have moved on from Saints score against us when we play their new team.....it seems the bad luck extends to managers as we have now lost 2 consecutive games to former Southampton managers.
