VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK

Re: VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK
I think will be a draw but worried who will be fit for us. With no Fonte our defence will be as bad as theirs so it is critical he plays a midfield that does its defensive duties. Hopefully Cline at RB, Cork back in midfield Lambert and Rodrigues up front and De Ridder no near the Midlands.

Re: VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK
The thought of Jos partnering Maya in central defence does not inspire too much confidence but what alternatives are there? Martin who couldn't get a game at Palace?? Maybe move Cork or a full-back there???

Have to agree we dont have a lot of choice and think we have to go with Jos and Yoshida, do not like playing players out of position and will be our best centre half pairing even if not that great. Having said that think Fox has played centre half when he was at Burnley and could always play him left side of midfield if they wanted extra height, but think it is Beneke's and weissman's movement that will be the problem.
Also really want Cork back in midfield where with Schneiderlin are a good partnership.
so Jos and Yoshida it is but dont worry have Boruc behind them.

Re: VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK
well sounds like we had a bit of luck with penalty and also second half but amazingly 3 points AND a clean sheet. hopefully that will also help the confidence for likes of Hoovield and Boruc.
Good night to night though already seen fat boy Crooks on BBC slagging of ref for giving the penalty

Re: VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK
It's about time we got some luck. Articles in the mainstream press websites are bemoaning the penalty and the BBC report looks as if it was written by a Villa fan, it's that biased. We have had some nailed-on penalties turned down this season and had dodgy ones go against us. Yes, we'd be moaning if the boot was on the other foot but that's football, we profited and we needed a bit of (dubious) luck.

The bottom line here (and the only thing that will entually be remembered about this match) is the result and the three points. So all good I reckon.

Absolutely, Yoshida got kicked through his legs and in the n*ts against arsnenal right in front of ref and only gives us a corner?? lambert and Fonte have virtually had their shirts pulled off them in front of Northam this year and nothing given. Quite strange when you consider the dives by Manure and Chelsea players that all the great pundits seem to miss, especially the brown nosing BBC lot. Dont watch MOTD anymore as coverage is useless, Lineker and co are so up themselves isnt true.
My only concern will be even harder to get one in future and NA does need to have a word with Ramerez as he does go down at the minimal contact

Quite right Pete, Manure and liverpool today so we will soon be relegated to 2 minutes at end of MOTD and a 4 line paragrapgh at bottom of sports pages. Couldnt care less so long as we stay up.

Re: VITAL MATCH AT VILLA PARK
I watched MOTD last night, utter crap. And how come Rodriguez made a 'blatant dive', according to that badly-written BBC match 'report', yet players for the likes of Man U, etc, merely get a 'controversial penalty'? And not much mention of that assault on Ramirez by Lowton, which should have been a straight red.
