MLT WANTS SAINTS TO GO FOR MICHAEL OWEN?

I can't see it happening (and it's a bit of banter on Twitter). His wages would be ridiculous unless it was on a 'pay-as-you-play' contract. Would he fit into Saints' ethic (i.e. no Billy Big Bollocks players)? That said, if he DID sign on a 'pay-as-you-play' contract, didn't upset anyone, and could stay fit, he'd be an asset.

Probably the sort of signing Cortese would like though for the headlines. For me his wages would be far to high and his gambling habits would be a great habit around the younger players.
