Katie Griffiths (born 6 April 1989), is a British actress, best known for playing Chlo Grainger/Chlo Charles in the BBC1 drama Waterloo Road.



Katie Griffiths was born on 6 April 1989 in Chigwell, Essex and attended South Craven Secondary School in Crosshills, Yorkshire.



Griffiths has appeared in Waterloo Road since the first episode, broadcast on 9 March 2006. It was announced by Chris Geere, in January 2009, who plays Matt Wilding in the BBC drama that Series 4 would be Katie's last, as her character, Chlo Grainger, will be graduating to University.

She played Alice in the television film Coming Down The Mountain; she has also appeared in Casualty as Lucy Hainford, and in Doctors as Gemma Mason, and in Paradox in 2009 as Leah Holt. Since January 2010 she has appeared in three episodes of the Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips as Glenda. she was also in the 2010 BBC one series Five Days as a minor character called Rowan.

She attended Stage 84, a performing arts school in Yorkshire until December 2008.

Hi Katie, Philip Martin Brown who plays Grantly Budgen on Waterloo Road did this a few weeks ago for us and he said that the actor who played your stepdad Tom Clarkson is one of the real characters on and off camera. Did you enjoy working with him? And what did you think of Grantly?

Difficult, but could you tell us your biography in a couple of paragraphs as we seem to know very little of your background before Waterloo Road?

Three of my favourite Waterloo Road actresses are Eva Pope (Rachel Mason), Christine Tremarco (Davina) and Elaine Symons (Rose Kelly). Can you tell us anything about them or stories about working with them?

You were great on Waterloo Road, is there any chance that you might come back on the series?

Being young it must have been difficult to do the scenes when Chlo was pregnant....did you have to have any special training?

Which scenes in the series do you have fondest memories of? Which scenes are you proudest of?

You're so beautiful and sexy, I envy you your looks. Do you have to work hard to keep your figure or does it come naturally? Is there a part of your body/appearance that you're specially proud of? Anything you'd change?

Yes I did enjoy working with him! Philip who played Grantly was such a laugh to work with!

I went to a stage school called Stage 84, which was on the outskirts of Bradford, and that had produced such actors/actresses as Jack P Shepherd and Kimberley Walsh. A talent scout had come to watch one of our shows, and they picked me to be in Waterloo Road.

They are all such amazing actresses! I had such a blast working with them! I enjoyed working with Christine a lot, because of the fact she was hilarious to work with, and always made us smile when we was down!
