BRIAN STOCK
QUOTE:
Southampton are believed to be lining up moves for Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines and Doncaster Rovers' Brian Stock.
The moves are being prompted by the potential exit of 20-year-old Morgan Schneiderlin to French club St Etienne, according to The Mirror.
Schneiderlin joined the Saints in 2008 after a fee of about £1.2 million had been agreed with Strasbourg, and has since put in strong performances for the club.
His displays are believed to have attracted interest from his home country, with a move to Ligue 1 expected to be in the offing.
Saints' boss Alan Pardew is consequently believed to have turned his attention towards bringing in Stock and Lines to replenish his squad in their push for promotion to the Championship.

Re: BRIAN STOCK
From Vital Football 5 June
Doncaster Rovers captain Brian Stock is once again being linked with a move to League One side Southampton.
Southampton are rumoured to have asked Rovers about the Welsh international but have been put off by the price tag quoted to them by Rovers, although both clubs deny any talks taking place.
The 28 year old who hails from Hampshire started his career on the south coast with Bournemouth before joining Championship side Preston North End.
Stock struggled to hold down a regular starting place with the Lancashire club and initially joined Rovers on loan in 2006.
After a successful loan spell, Rovers made the move permanent in the January transfer window.
The midfielder has now played well over 100 games for Rovers and won his first full cap for Wales in the World Cup qualifier against Russia in September 2009.
Stock has struggled with a persistent back problem during the past two seasons that has limited his appearances since promotion to the Championship.
It`s not the first time that he`s been linked with a move away from the Keepmoat, with West Brom, Reading and Wolves both being linked with him during the last season.
Stock has only one year left on his current Rovers contract so will they want to cash in on their captain or risk losing him on a free transfer in a years time.

Re: BRIAN STOCK
With a back injury and just 1 year left on contract wouldn't see us paying a large fee, I see he played 18 games last season. If the price isn't right then think we should look elsewhere as sure many clubs think they can hold us to ransom but there will be plenty of players around.
